Health Harmony & Soul Expo

Life is so face paced these days.  Technology is progressing at what seems like light speed.  It does not take long to realise that you are being left behind.  Development in naturism is much the same.  Decisions seem to take time and in that time people get left behind.  In order to be more effective in communicating who we are and what we do if we ever hope to lift the veil of secrecy from naturism we need to present our lifestyle to the public subsequently giving us better control of how people view us.

Over the past four and a half years, Aussie Naturists has been taking Australian Naturism to the public, and allowing naturists to correspond with others in real time, make friends, discuss ideas and concerns.  And to further the message we are taking Aussie Naturists on the road to visit the Health Harmony Soul Expo at the Gold Coast Convention Centre from the 20th to the 22nd of January 2012.

As a society of people, we need vocal and strong individuals willing to stand for what we believe in and not hide behind a veil of secrecy.  We must challenge society's view of what naturists do, and help to educate the general public about our lifestyle. The HHS Expo will enable us to meet the public in a neutral way so as to communicate the benefits of our lifestyle.  It will also allow the ‘naturist curious’ to ask question and receive valuable information.

If you would like to support our efforts, come along to the show and say hello, or look us up on aussienaturists.com, click on the expo banner and find out more.

I was just looking at the photos on this web page and I am sure they are from overseas. I have been to a few nudist beaches here in OZ and the nude olympics held at Alexander bay and every time there has been about 9 men to every woman. In your photos there are a lot of photos of women which is great but just not how it is. For a single man like myself I would love to go to a beach where there are lots of women so there would be a chance of meeting someone. But every time I go there are very few if any single women. Over seas it is very diffrent and it is time things changed here in OZ, we have the best weather and beaches. Peter

Yes, you are right, most nude photos on our site are from overseas. We are well aware that naturism in Australia is very different from that in other countries - particularly Europe. We are also aware of the plight of the single male. We have been running a survey of Australian nudists for the past 2 years and have found that only 13% of nudists are female (most of those are married). Australian nudists are much more reserved and do not want their photos displayed, such is the conservative culture here in Australia.

To be honest I’m not sure that Kim and I count as conservative as we’ve even done a television interview on nude cruises and had our images appear in print. That said we still don’t post our images on the net, well we do but under password control, simply because when you do you lose control of them. While we don’t have an issue with them in print or on television providing fodder for sites that for a fee will allow you to view pictures of people “enjoying the lifestyle” is not what we’re about.

As a side question is this site one of yours?

Hi Peter, yes Aussie Naturists is our main site. We are a subscription site such as those you mentioned. But we are much more than just a site to look at nude images. We are a community which is kept safe for members by moderation and adminiatration.
